Federal income tax is a tax on federal benefits, which most people do not receive. Federal benefits could be a paycheck (as a govt worker), oil-drilling proceeds on federal land, making trucks for the government operations, or mistering a U.S. Person franchise (more on that later).

When people read ‘federal income’ they mistakenly think that means their pay because they think everything is federal. Truth is only things involving or made possible by the federal govt are federal and therefore taxable. The federal govt did not enable the bike shop down on main street, so none of the bike-mechanics owe the federal income tax.
People also mistakenly think the tax is on income whereas the income is simply the means to calculate the amount of the tax. First question is “Am I receiving a federal benefit?” “Am i engaged in an activity where federal government had a role?” If yes, then the amount of the tax is based on the amount of income generated by the benefit/activity which the govt made possible.
The tax is on federal activities. It’s an excise tax on exercises, federal exercises.
The #1 exercise or benefit is being an officer/mister of one of their U.S. Person franchises. Feds create a U.S. Person franchise when every baby is born, ostensibly to help the baby, but in practice used to fleece the people of money not due to the government.
Another word for officer is mister. Mister means master, and master is an officer on a ship — a citizen ship.
