Unbelievable. Navy ‘baptizes’ ships. Baptism of baby at the church is in water for this very reason. To launch a vessel under Vatican control that mom and dad mistakenly use to refer to their baby. Has nothing to do with faith. It’s to give Vatican jurisdiction.

Is someone going to tell me the baptism of babies is not related to the baptism of ships? Is someone going to explain another reason for water being used during the baptism at the church?
Faith is great. Fine to believe in god. But don’t conflate organized re-legion/religion with private faith.
Don’t request a berth certificate for thy baby. Get the Certificate of Live Birth at the hospital. Better, don’t got to the foundling hospitality center for unwed, indigent moms with a maternity ward. The whole thing literally screams unwed and state control.
