We have created a dystopia where education costs money. Instead of learning at a workplace on increasingly complex projects (while getting paid), we now pay to learn in a classroom doing fictional projects, while forgoing pay from a workplace.
Even physicians learn at the workplace. They’re not permitted to do anything remotely hazardous until they complete a residency, which is simply learning at a workplace–following around an experienced physician.

Yet, the history of the world was made by people apprenticing. The entrance fee was a promise to work hard and not leave right away.
