Yes, on paper feds pretend we’re misters (captains) navigating ships going to banks and getting fixed-up by dockers/’doctors’. Feds pretend bc they have jurisdiction over their ships and commerce, and feds prefer maritime/admiralty law/courts where they have more power.
The truth–the flesh and blood–is we are people, not persons, not ships. We’re natives of the 50 states with distinct nationalities such as Texans, Floridians, and New Yorkers.
Their shipping ruse is so elaborate and so overwhelming that we’ve been taught to describe our everyday lives as if we’re captains of their ships.
Does thou know mister is a role on a ship?
A vault holds money.
A bank directs the current-of-the-sea.
We have towns, not town ships.
Officers in the Navy or presumably any ship are called ‘Sir’.
We are friends with people. We don’t have friend ships.
There is no bigfoot. But there are assholes. And they want our money. They will get it any which way they can.
