Did 16th Amendment suddenly allow direct taxes on pay? See below how tax on ‘wages’ was ALREADY constitutional. ‘Wages’ = payments to govt workers, and federation can tax what it gives out.
16th amend did NOT change anything with respect to pay. Wages r taxable. Pay is not.

What the 16th Amendment did do was allow taxes on ALL federal sources including dividends and rents related to federal entities.
All people coast to coast did NOT suddenly start paying the income/excise tax after the 16th Amendment passed. Got that?
It was only during WW2 that people paid the ‘Victory Tax’ which is likely just a promotional name for the income/excise tax on ‘wages’. Around the same time, Feds defined ’employee’ to be govt worker and said the great lie-by-omission: all employees must pay the income tax. Yeah–but ’employee’ means govt worker.
IRS and Federation claim that the 16th Amendment allows DIRECT taxation of the livelihoods of the people within each of the 50 united States is a lie.
