We don’t ‘de-port’ aliens. We expel them. We’re told it is ‘de-port’ because we allow United States (meaning DC operations) to regulate commerce, so United States pretends everything is commerce! And everything is a port. Ports are for ships 🚢.
They say there is a ‘port of entry’ in the middle of the Texas dessert.
We’re told we need portpasses/passports for egress and ingress (leave and enter).
We’re told unruly aliens are de-ported. No, they are expelled. See court case Fong Yue Ting v. United States from 1893 that uses the accurate words.

This case is on my mind because Fong Yue Ting is called a resident alien with possibly permanent residence. In contradistinction with citizens (state citizens).
We are not ‘residents‘, which is short for resident alien.
We don’t have a ‘permanent residence‘; we have a home or abode.
We are not even domicils which I see is a higher level of alien status.
We are state citizens with un-a-lien-able rights, not civil rights (for civil servants).
