Amazon form refers to state as region.

  • Oddly, an Amazon form has space for what they call a region but no place for the state.
  • The available “regions” are the union/federal areas within each of the 50 united states. These union/federal areas are denoted with the combinations of two capital letters, such as TX or CA. Region is a better label for the union/federal areas.
  • The form should have an area for state, meaning nation-state.
  • One can choose a country, but that is the space for the ‘union’ to which a nation-state may belong.
  • Wondering if they will soon teach K-12 students to refer to states as regions.
