Russian ships “arrested” by Ukraine authorities

Another reminder that ‘arrest’ applies to ships.

The ships entered Ukrainian ports in late 2021 and early 2022 and, according to the agency, were transporting cargo. They were then “arrested” and transferred to ARMA, a government agency for the search and management of assets. (source)

When the local policy/policé officers arrest a ‘person/persona’, they are actually engaged in an inland maritime operation.

Thou is called mister/master to pretend thou is the captain of the ship.

The ship itself? Well, that likely is the body, being that it floats, and thou is technically in command of it.
